We aim to offer first appointments within 2-3 working days and can often accommodate same-day appointments for urgent cases.

The duration of all appointments for private clients is 40 minutes, whilst appointment times for NHS and private medical insurance clients may vary depending on treatment. Click here to find out more about what to expect at your first appointment.

Please call 01664 822234 for appointments

All treatments are strictly by appointment only.

Cancellation policy

A minimum of 24 hours notice or 1 working day is required for cancellation of appointments.

If less than this is given or you fail to attend a booked appointment:

Private Patients –  the full cost of treatment will be charged to your account.

NHS Patients -no cancellation charge. However, you will be discharged from further treatment and will require another referral from your GP to access physiotherapy at The Vale Clinic via the NHS.

3rd Party Funded Patients –  If attending for physiotherapy using health insurance, our clinic recommends you please check with your health provider as to their policy regarding late cancellation/non-attendance.
In most cases, insurance companies/panels, and other third parties, refuse to pay any late cancellation/non-attendance charges and, therefore, these associated fees will be billed directly to the patient.

The clinic’s answerphone is switched on 24/7 making it possible to leave a message if calling outside usual working office hours.

The full terms and conditions regarding cancellation of appointments is on the Treatment Consent Form which all patients are required to read and then sign prior to receiving their initial assessment/treatment session.

Payment

The preferred methods of payment are recognised credit and debit cards (excluding American Express), cheques and cash.

Payments are made at the end of each appointment unless you are making a pre-approved claim under your private medical insurance policy or if you have been referred directly to us by your GP within the Rushcliffe area (under contract with the Rushcliffe Clinical Commissioning Group).

NHS

Patients can be seen on the NHS only if referred to us by their GP if registered in the borough of Rushcliffe or under Long Clawson Surgery.

Private Medical Insurance

We are associated with all major insurance companies including AXA, BUPA, Aviva, Simply Health and PruHealth.
Please contact your insurer BEFORE your initial assessment as some insurers may request a GP referral in order to pre-authorise physiotherapy treatment. You will need to provide us with a valid authorisation number from your insurer before your treatment is carried out. If you do not produce a valid authorisation number prior to treatment then you will be required to pay personally for your treatment. We are always happy to provide receipts and invoices for treatments to reclaim the cost, where appropriate and permissible.

Parking

The clinic is just five doors down from The Plough Inn public house and the landlord has kindly agreed that patients of The Vale Clinic can use The Plough’s car park free of charge at all times.

Although on street parking is available outside the clinic – and all along Main Street – we would nevertheless kindly request that patients help to keep village congestion to a minimum and refrain from parking there. All village residents will greatly appreciate your kind cooperation in this.
