(c ) The Vale Clinic treats three groups of patient – (i) those who pay personally for their treatments from their own resources, (ii) those who have the benefit of a private health insurance policy to help them with the cost of treatment and (iii) NHS patients, for whom the treatment is free.

N.B Patients who intend to cover all or part of the cost of their treatment through a private health insurance policy must (a) be referred by their GP (or consultant) and (b) speak to their insurance company before any course of physio treatment begins. We are recognised by all of the health insurance companies.

In the particular case of “BUPA” patients it is also necessary for the patient to obtain from BUPA an authorisation code and to supply this to the physio clinic before treatment is begun.

We are very happy to explain the procedure in more detail if you ring the clinic.

**– private patients who are not relying on a health insurance policy can simply self refer themselves here for treatment - so they can ring or e-mail us, make an appointment and attend for physiotherapy treatment without the need for any GP or consultant referral. **

NHS patients must first be referred by their GP.
